D. Procedure to Remove the Position Cables

(1)
Loosen the turnbuckles (41) of the position cables (NGPPA and NGPPB).

(2)
Disconnect the position cables (NGPPA and NGPPB) of the nose landing gear from the rotary actuator pulley.
(a)
Remove the cotter pins (24) at the ends of the cable terminals (25) on each side of the rotary actuator pulley.

(1) String the replacement cables.
NOTE:____For cable length and fittings, see chart on Fig. 402. For general cable installation information (AMM 27-09-14/201).

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE ENDS OF THE COTTER PINS WILL NOT TOUCH THE

HOUSING OF THE ACTUATOR AFTER YOU INSTALL.
(2)
Connect the position cables NGPPA (24) and NGPPB (25) to the rotary actuator pulley.
(3)
Connect the cables to their turnbuckles (41).
(4)
Adjust the position system (AMM 32-51-00/501).
(5)
Install the locking clips in the turnbuckles.
