Install ground locks in all landing gear (Ref 32-00-01/201).

Put chocks at all of the landing gear wheels.

Release the parking brake.

Test

(1)
Pressurize the hydraulic system B to 3000 psi (Ref 29-15-00/201).
(a)
Keep the pressure at 3000 psi for a minimum of 2 minutes.
NOTE: This will make sure the accumulator is full of fluid.

(2) S 864-018Pressurize the hydraulic system A (Ref. 29-15-00/201).
(3) S 864-019Release pressure from the hydraulic system B (Ref 29-15-00/201).
(4) S 714-021Do a check of the accumulator pressure:
NOTE:____ The steps that follow make sure the isolation valve operates correctly when hydraulic power is ON.
(a) Operate the brake pedals 5 times.
NOTE:____ Wait approximately 3 seconds between each operation of the pedals.
(b) Make sure the accumulator pressure does not decrease for each operation of the brake pedals.
(5) S 864-022Release pressure from the hydraulic system A (Ref 29-15-00/201).
(6) S 784-023Make sure the brake accumulator pressure is approximately 3000 psi.
(7) S 714-026Do a check of the accumulator pressure:
NOTE:____ The steps that follow make sure the isolation valve operates correctly when the hydraulic power is OFF.
(a) Operate the brake pedals 5 times.
NOTE:____ Wait approximately 3 seconds between each operation of the pedals.
(b) Make sure the brake accumulator pressure decreases with each operation of the brake pedals.

ALTERNATE BRAKE SELECTOR VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
A. The operations that follow give the removal and installation of the alternate source selector valve. The valve is located on the ceiling of the main wheel well, aft and to the left of the system A hydraulic fluid reservoir.

Make sure that you install the ground locks (AMM 32-00-01/201).

(2)
Remove the pressure from the A and B hydraulic systems (AMM 29-15-00/201).

(3)
Put chocks on the main gear wheels and release the parking brakes.

(4)
Remove the hydraulic fluid from the brake accumulator.
(a)
Fully push the brake pedals 12 times or until the accumulator gage does not show a pressure drop when you apply the brakes.
