 NOTE: You can see the brakes "apply" and "release" if you
____ watch the brake wear pins move. The pins will extend farther out of the carrier when the brake releases (AMM 32-41-41/601).
 CAUTION: WHEN YOU TURN THE ANTISKID TRANSDUCER, DO NOT ATTACH
_______ A METAL FITTING DIRECTLY ON THE TRANSDUCER. DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR. IF YOU USE A METAL FITTING, PUT A PROTECTIVE COVER ON THE ANTISKID TRANSDUCER.
 1) Turn the right outboard transducer drive coupling to
 approximately 500-1000 RPM. 2) Make sure that the left outboard brake releases. 3) Stop the movement of the brake as quickly as it is
 possible. 4) Make sure that the right outboard brake releases momentarily and then applies again in 5 to 10 seconds.
 (o)  
Open this circuit breaker on the the P6 main power distibution panel: 1) ANTISKID FAIL WARN & PARK BRAKE

 (p)  
Release the parking brake.

 (q)  
Connect the electrical connector D928 to the shutoff valve.

 (r)  
Make sure that the ANTISKID INOP light goes off.

 (s)  
Close this circuit breaker on the main power distribution panel P6: 1) ANTISKID FAIL WARN & PARK BRAKE

 Complete the installation of the transducer as follows:

 (a)  
Put the hubcap on the wheel and turn it if it is necessary to engage the spider on the hubcap with the drive coupling on the transducer.

 (b)  
Attach the hubcap to the wheel with three sets of bolts and washers.

 (c)  
Install lockwire.

 (d)  
On an outboard wheel,
 install the hubcap fairing.

 (e)  
Set the parking brake.

 (f)  
Close the AUTOSLAT circuit breakers on the P6 main power distibution panel.

 (g)  
Remove electrical power if it is not necessary
 (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (h)  
Remove hydraulic power from systems A and B if it is not necessary (AMM 29-15-00/201).

 A.  This procedure removes and installs the antiskid control shield.
 B.  The antiskid control unit is found on the E3-2 shelf of the electrical bay (aft and to the right of the access hatch).

LANDING GEAR ANTISKID OUTBD

 (c)  
ANTISKID FAIL WRN & PARK BK

 (2)  Release the latch and move the unit off the rack.

Make sure the contact pins on the control unit and the mating connector are straight.
