 (2)  S 845-084Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close the AUTOSLAT circuit breakers on the P6 panel.
 (3)  S 845-085Remove the electrical power if it is not needed (AMM 24-22-00/201).
 (4)  S 845-086Remove the hydraulic power if it is not needed (AMM 29-15-00/201).

 1. Antiskid System Check

 A. General
 (1)  
A check of the antiskid system wiring and components is recommended as regular maintenance of an aircraft.

Antiskid System Check


 S 216-001
 (1)  
Do a check of the antiskid control unit.

 (a)  
Do a check that the antiskid control unit is correctly installed in the equipment shelf of the electronic compartment.

 (b)  
Do a check that the indicator lenses on the front panel of the antiskid control unit are tightly installed.

 (c)  
Do a check that the switches on the front panel of the antiskid control unit are tightly installed.

 (2)  
Do a check of the wiring for the antiskid system.

 (a)  
Do a check of the condition and tightness of the connectors for the antiskid control unit at the equipment shelf.


 NOTE: Refer to 32-42-21/401 for instructions on the
____ removal and installation of the antiskid control unit.
 (b)  Do a check of the condition and tightness of the connector at each of the normal antiskid valves.

 (c)  Do a check of the condition and tightness of the connector at each of the alternate antiskid valves.
 CAUTION: IN THE AREA UNDER THE AXLE, DO A CHECK OF THE WIRING
_______ HARNESS FOR DAMAGE OR INDICATIONS OF REPAIR. IF ANY OF THE WIRES OF THE HARNESS HAVE BEEN DAMAGED OR REPAIRED, REPLACE THE WIRE HARNESS. THIS WILL HELP TO PREVENT IN SERVICE FAILURES.
 (d)  
Do a check of the wires and cables of the antiskid system for damage or deterioration at the insulation, shielding, or conductors.

 (e)  
Do a check of the wires and cables of the antiskid system for correct routing.

 (f)  
Do a check that the installation of the clamps along the routing is satisfactory, and that all clamps are tight.

 (g)  
Do a check that the flexible conduit fitting on the main gear axle is aligned correctly and tight.


 NOTE: If this fitting is loose, add up to two split
____ washers between the fitting and the main gear axle. Remove the expandable fitting from the axle to install the necessary thickness of washers. If more than two washers are necessary to make the fitting tighten, then install a new fitting or replace the wire harness.

 (3)  
Do a check of the normal and alternate antiskid valves.

 (a)  
Make sure all bolts that fasten the antiskid valves to the support brackets are installed and tight.
