Prepare for the Trim
 S 865-014-003
 (1)  
Connect the external electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 S 655-015-003

 (2)  
Remove all fuel from the fuel tank and the fuel in the sumps (AMM 28-23-00/201).


 NOTE: If you do the trim for only one tank system, you can
____
 move the fuel into the other tanks.

 (3)  Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
 (a)  P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) QTY
 2) EP GND FUELING

 S 485-017-003
 (4)  Connect the test equipment.
 (a)  
Remove the fuel quantity indicator from the pilots' panel (Fig. 501).

 (b)  
Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear of the indicator.

 (c)  
Connect the test harness to the airplane wire bundle.

 (d)  
Connect the test harness to the system test unit (Fig. 502).
