(1) Fill the bulb housing with grease.
NOTE: It is not not necessary to apply grease if the fuel

temperature is made by Norwich (P/N 10-62247-1).
(a) If you replace a Lewis fuel temperature bulb (P/N 57B28A) with a Norwich fuel temperature bulb (P/N 10-62447-1), remove the grease around the bulb housing with a clean, lint free cloth.

Hold the temperature bulb by the locking cap.

Put the fuel temperature bulb into the bulb housing.

(4)
Push the fuel temperature bulb into the housing until it touches the pin.

(5)
Turn the locking cap to lock it around the pin.

(6)
Make a splice from the wires on the fuel temperature bulb to the airplane wire bundle (SWPM 20-30-12).
(a)
Use the applicable crimp tool to connect the wires
(SWPM 20-30-12).
(b)
Put two layers of tape on the connection to give protection from water and fuel (Fig. 401).
