E. Adjust the Fuel Summation Unit to Show Zero

(1) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) EP GND FUELING
2) QTY

Let the system operate for 5 minutes.

Get access to the total fuel quantity as shown on the FMCS CDU by the applicable procedure:
(a) If the IRS is not aligned: 1) Push the INIT REF button. 2) Make sure that the POS INIT page shows on the CDU. 3) Push the LSK (line select key) 6L button (adjacent to
<INDEX on the CDU screen display).
4) Make sure that the INIT/REF INDEX page shows.
5) Make sure that the PERF INIT page shows with the total fuel
quantity shown on the left side of the screen.
6) Push the LSK 3L, <PERF buttons.
7) Make sure that the PERF INIT page shows with the total fuel
quantity shown on the left side of the screen.
(b) If the IRS is aligned: 1) Push the INIT REF button. 2) Make sure that the PERF INIT page shows with the total fuel
quantity shown on the left side of the screen.

(4) Do a check on the CDU display (Fig. 502).
(a)
If the FUEL WT shows a value of zero, it is not necessary to adjust the FSU to zero.
(b)
If the FUEL WT does not show a value of zero, do these steps: 1) Pull the fuel summation unit from the panel until you can
get access to the top cover. 2) Remove the top cover. 3) Adjust the EMPTY screw until the FUEL WT shows zero.
F. Full Adjustment of the Fuel Summation Unit

(1) If one or more ground wires are installed on pin 3, do these steps:
(a)
Open these circuit breakers:
1) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel a) EP GND FUELING b) QTY
(b)
Remove the ground wires.
(c)
Close these circuit breakers:
1) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel a) EP GND FUELING
