(6) Adjust the capacitance trimmer.
(a)
Get access to the capacitance trimmers on the pilot's instrument panel, P1, above the hand microphone receptacle.
(b)
Turn the applicable capacitance trimmer until the test unit shows the applicable capacitance value: ~........................................ | TANK | CAPACITANCE (pf) | .......................................... | No. 1 and 2 | 506.6 | .......................................... | Center | 180.2 | 2...............…........................1 1) Turn the trimmer with a screwdriver. 2) Remove the screwdriver. 3) Let the value shown on the test unit become stable. 4) Continue this procedure until you get the correct
capacitance on the test unit display.

(7) Adjust the test unit to give the capacitances equivalent to a full tank (Fig. 503).
(a)
Set the FUNCTION SEL switch on the test unit to INT CAP (PSD40-1) or set the FUNCT switch to MEASURE INT (PSD60-1).
(b)
Set the FUNCTION MEASURE switch (PSD40-1) or set the SELECT switch (PSD60-1) to COMP.
(c)
Adjust the SIMULATOR COMP decade capacitor (D2) and the vernier knob (V2) until the test unit shows 41.4 pf.
NOTE: This is the capacitance value added to the empty
____ tank capacitance by the test unit to simulate a full tank.
(d) Set the FUNCTION MEASURE switch (PSD40-1) or the SELECT switch (PSD60-1) to TU.

(8) Do a check of the values on the fuel quantity indicator with a full tank.
(a)
Connect the test harness to the rear of the fuel quantity indicator.
(b)
Close the QTY and EP GND FUELING circuit breakers, and let the system become warm for five minutes.
(c)
