 (4)  To read the total fuel quantity as shown on the FMCS CDU, do the steps that follow:
 (a)  If the IRS is not aligned, do these steps: 1) Push the INIT REF button. 2) Make sure the POS INIT page shows on the CDU. 3) Push the LSK (line select key) 6L (adjacent to <INDEX on
 the CDU screen display). 4) Make sure the INIT/REF INDEX page shows. 5) Push the LSK (line select key) 3L (adjacent to < PERF on
 the CDU screen display). 6) Make sure the PERF INIT page shows with the total fuel quantity shown on the left side of the screen.
 (b)  If the IRS is aligned, do these steps: 1) Push the INIT REF button. 2) Make sure the PERF INIT page shows with the total fuel
 quantity shown on the left side of the screen.

 (5)  Look at the CDU display (Fig. 501).
 NOTE: The display must show the sum of all the fuel indicators
____ with a tolerance of | 100 pounds (| 50 kilograms).

Procedure
 S 865-011
 (1)  
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (2)  
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:


 (a)  P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) EP GND FUELING
 2) QTY

 (3)  
Remove two of the three fuel quantity indicators from the pilot's panel (AMM 28-41-51/401).

 (4)  
Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear of each indicator.

 (5)  
For each indicator, do these steps:

 (a)  
Connect the test harness to one of the system test units.

 (b)  
Connect the test harness to the applicable airplane wire bundle.

 (c)  
Connect the test harness to the applicable indicator.

 (6)  
Close these circuit breakers and remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  P6 Main Power distribution Panel
 1) EP GND FUELING
 2) QTY


 (7)  
Permit the system to become warm for five minutes.
