Connect the test harness to the system test unit.

 E. Test Procedure

 (1)  Measure the empty tank resistances.
 (a)  
Set the power switch on the system test unit to ON.

 (b)  
Set the FUNCTION SEL switch to MEG (not SELF TEST MEG) (PSD40-1) or set the FUNCT switch to MEASURE EXT (PSD60-1).

 (c)  
Set the FUNCTION MEASURE switch (PSD40-1) or the SELECT switch (PSD60-1) to LOZ-HIZ.

 (d)  
Read the total resistance for the tank units.

 (e)  
Make sure the resistance shown on the system test unit is larger than 250 megohms.

 (f)  
Set the FUNCTION MEASURE switch (PSD40-1) or the SELECT switch (PSD60-1) to COMP-HIZ.

 (g)  
Read the total resistance for the compensator.
