Push the stick subassembly into the housing.

Turn the screwdriver slot on the latch clockwise to lock the fuel measuring stick into the correct position (Fig. 401).

1. General_______
A. This procedure has three tasks:
(1)
A task to repair an external fuel leak at the head of a fuel measuring stick
(2)
A task to repair a fuel leak around the bayonet base with the fuel measuring stick lowered
(3)
A task to repair a fuel leak around a fuel measuring stick.

2. Repair the External Fuel Leak at the Head of the Fuel Measuring Stick_____________________________________________________________________ (Fig. 801)

(1)
Turn the head of the fuel measuring stick counterclockwise.
S 868-003-001
(2)
Lower the fuel measuring stick until you can remove the head seal O-ring.
(a) If there is fuel leakage through the measuring stick, put a plug in the drip hole on the head.

(3)
Remove the head seal O-ring.
(4)
Install a new head seal O-ring.

(5)
If you put a plug in the drip hole, push the fuel measuring stick almost fully up and remove the plug.

Do these steps to put the fuel measuring stick back in the correct position:
(a)
Push the fuel measuring stick up.
(b)
Turn the head of the fuel measuring stick clockwise to lock it.
