One person must go into the tank and hold the receptacle up.

 (c)  
A second person must get access to the receptacle from the outer surface of the tank.

 (d)  
AIRPLANES WITH THE RECTANGULAR BUSSING PLUG; The person out of the tank must install the six mounting screws to attach the receptacle. 1) Tighten the mounting screws to a torque of 65 - 90

 pound-inches.

 (e)  
AIRPLANES WITH THE CIRCULAR BUSSING PLUG ON THE NO. 1 AND THE NO. 2 TANK; The person out of the tank must install the washer and the receptacle nut to attach the receptacle. 1) On the receptacle for the No. 1 or the No. 2 tank, tighten


 the receptacle nut to a torque of 325 - 350 pound-inches. 2) On the receptacle for the center tank, tighten the receptacle nut to a torque of 100 - 150 inch-pounds. 3) Attach the nut with a lockwire.

 (12) Apply a thin layer of sealant around the joint between the receptacle and the bulkhead (spar) on the inside of the tank (Fig. 401).
 (a)  
Apply a continuous bead of sealant to the joint.

 (b)  
Make sure the bead fully seals the joint.

 (c)  
Let the sealant dry for the applicable cure time
 (AMM 51-31-00/201).

 (13) Replace the wire bundle (SWPM 28-10-11, SWPM 20-10-12, SWPM 20-10-19).
 NOTE: Adjust wire slack to maintain a clearance of 0.5 inch
____ between the wire and components or structure. If 0.5 inch clearance is not possible, you must maintain a minimum clearance of 0.125 inch.
 (a)  
Install the new wire bundle while you remove the wire bundle that is installed.

 (b)  
Make sure the new wire bundle has the same routing as the wire bundle that you removed.

 (c)  
To install the tank wiring harness and clamps, refer to these Boeing drawings: 1) DWG 65-48311 - Wire Bundle Installation Wing Center Section

 (d)  
The FQIS wire harness should be clamped such that the clamp can completely close without pinching the wire harness in any way.

 (e)  
Make sure the wire harness is snug in the clamp.


 NOTE: This is to prevent the wire harness from sliding.

 1)  If the wire harness is loose in the clamp then a smaller size clamp of the correct type should be installed.
 NOTE: This is to prevent the wire harness from migrating
____
 in the tank.

 S 434-014
 (14) Install new connectors at the compensator unit and the tank units.
 (a)  
Let the drip loop stay in the wire after you install the wire bundle.

 (b)  
Tighten the connector to a torque of 8 |1 pound-inches (AMM 28-41-21/401, Fig. 401).

 (15) Install the bussing plugs for the compensator and the tank units (AMM 28-41-41/401).

 Remove the locks on the leading edge flaps if you installed them at the start of this procedure (AMM 27-81-00/201).

 LE FLAP SAFETY LOCKS.  THE LE FLAPS CAN MOVE QUICKLY IF YOU DO
 NOT REMOVE THE SAFETY LOCKS CORRECTLY.  THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY
 TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
