 (6)  S 434-120Install the bolt that attaches the bonding jumper to the APU shroud.
 (7)  S 434-121Connect the fuel line coupling (View H, Fig. 401) immediately inside the upper shroud to the part of the APU fuel line inside the upper shroud.
 (8)  S 434-122Connect the fuel line coupling (View F, Fig. 401) to the flexible fuel line. (a) Remove the tape that you used to attach the flexible fuel line.
 NOTE:____ Do not attach the flexible shroud until you complete the leak check for the fuel line.
 (9)  S 794-123Pressurize the APU fuel line and do a check for leaks. (a) Connect the external electrical power to the airplane (AMM 24-22-00/201). (b) Make sure these circuit breakers are closed: (c) Pull the engine fire switches on the P8 panel to the FIRE position to close the two engine shutoff valves. (d) Set the crossfeed valve switch on the P5 panel to the OPEN position. (e) Open the APU fuel valve. 1) Set the BATTERY switch to ON. 2) Set the APU master switch to ON. (f) Set the switch for the FWD boost pump in the No. 2 tank to the ON position. (g) After the low pressure light goes off, examine all of the connections on the APU fuel line for leaks. (h) Set the boost pump switch to the OFF position. (i) Set the APU master switch to OFF.

 (j)  Set the BATTERY switch to OFF.

 Put the flexible shroud on the APU shroud.

 Install the hose clamp.

 Pressurize the APU shroud with air and do a check for leaks.

 (a)  
Disconnect the shroud drain line at the interconnect fitting (View C, Fig. 401).

 (b)  
Apply 10 psi to the shroud drain connection at the interconnect fitting for 5 minutes.

 (c)  
Connect the shroud drain to the interconnect fitting.

 

 E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

 (1)  
Push the engine fire switches on the P8 panel to the NORMAL
 position.

 (2)  
Set the crossfeed valve switch on the P5 panel to CLOSE.

 (3)  
Remove the external electrical power if it is not necessary for other tasks (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (4)  
Close the access door, 3701, for the stabilizer trim
 (AMM 12-31-00/201).

 (5)  
Close the access door, 3804, for the APU compartment
 (AMM 12-31-41/201).

 (a)  
Hold the open door up with your hands.

 (b)  
Release the brace rods that hold the door up and put them in their position on the inner surface of the door.

 (c)  
Close the door.

 (d)  
Push the end of the latch handles to the closed position to lock the door.

 

 NOTE: Use hand pressure only when you close the latches.

 APU FUEL FEED LINE - INSPECTION/CHECK

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure has one task:
 (1)  Do a check of the APU fuel feed line for leakage.
 B.  If the leakage rate from the APU fuel feed line is more than the limits, the APU fuel feed line must be replaced or the APU fuel feed line must be drained and the APU must be deactivated as inoperative until the APU fuel feed line can be replaced.
 C.  The APU fuel-feed line shroud is referred to as the APU shroud.
