(8) Simulate a fuel load of approximately 45 percent full capacity:
(a)
For the center tank, select these test unit simulated
capacitance values (added capacitance):
COMPENSATOR 41.4 pf
TANK UNITS 85 pf
(b)
For the No. 1 and No. 2 tank, select these test unit simulated
capacitance values (added capacitance):
COMPENSATOR 41.4 pf
TANK UNITS 250 pf

(9) To read the total fuel quantity as shown on the FMCS CDU, do these steps:
(a) If the IRS is not aligned, do these steps: 1) Push the INIT REF button. 2) Make sure the POS INIT page shows on the CDU. 3) Push the LSK (line select key) 6L (adjacent to <INDEX on
the CDU screen display). 4) Make sure the INIT/REF INDEX page shows. 5) Push the LSK (line select key) 3L (adjacent to < PERF on
the CDU screen display). 6) Make sure the PERF INIT page shows with the total fuel quantity shown on the left side of the screen.
(b) If the IRS is aligned, do these steps: 1) Push the INIT REF button. 2) Make sure the PERF INIT page shows with the total fuel
quantity shown on the left side of the screen.

(10) Look at the CDU display (Fig. 501).
(a)
The display must show the sum of all the fuel indicators with a tolerance of +/- 100 pounds (+/- 50 kilograms).
(b)
If the sum is not in the limits, replace the fuel summation unit.

(11) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) EP GND FUELING
2) QTY

(12) Disconnect the test harnesses that you installed for the two indicators.
