(k) Make sure the PCU 28V DC and 115V AC circuit breakers are in the open position.

(14) Make sure all of the pump switches on the PCU control panel are in the OFF position.
(a)
Connect plug P1 of the cable assembly for the power supply to the receptacle J1 of the PCU.
(b)
Close the 28V DC and the 115V AC circuit breakers on the PCU control panel.
(c)
Make sure the 28V DC AVAIL and the 115V AC AVAIL indication lights on the PCU panel are on.
(d)
Push the MSTR PWR ON button on the control panel for a minimum of one second and release it.
(e)
Make sure the MSTR PWR ON indication light is on.

(15) Defuel the fuel tank.
(a) Close the A and B circuit breakers on the PCU control panel.
NOTE:____ These circuit breakers control the boost pumps. If you
connected only one of the boost pumps with the cable,
close the applicable circuit breaker.
(b) Turn the applicable pump switch or switches on the PCU control
panel to the ON position.
(c) Make sure the applicable low pressure lights for the boost pump
or pumps come on for a moment while the boost pumps start to
operate.
(d) Start the suction pump on the fuel truck, if it has a suction
pump.
(e) Continue to defuel until the applicable fuel quantity indicator
shows the specified quantity of fuel.
1) You can also monitor the low pressure light on the PCU
control panel.

2) If the low pressure light is on, this shows that the pump inlet is above the surface of the fuel.
(f)
Stop the suction pump on the fuel truck if you used it to defuel.
(g)
Set the pump switch or switches on the PCU control panel in the OFF position.
(h)
Push the MSTR PWR OFF switch on the control panel.
1) Make sure the MSTR PWR indication light goes off.
(i)
Open the 28V DC and the 115V AC circuit breakers on the PCU control panel. 1) Make sure the 28V DC AVAIL and 115V AC AVAIL indication
lights are off.
(j)
Disconnect the cable that goes to the ground power carts from the PCU.
(k)
Disconnect the cable that goes from the PCU to the airplane.
(l)
Put the PCU and the cables in the container.
(m)
Connect the connector plug or plugs for the airplane wire bundle for the boost pumps (AMM 28-22-41/401).
(n)
Install the access panels for the dry bay (AMM 28-22-41/401).
(o)
Move the manual lever to the CLOSE position to close the defueling valve on the wing front spar.
(p)
Close the access door, 6535, for the defueling valve.
(q)
Close the shutoff handle on the defueling hose.
