b) UG274A/U - for Hi-Z connection, one is necessary 4) Adapter cables (fabricated locally):
a) Adapter cables - 50 ohm, unshielded, with polarized BNC plug (Amphenol 14625) to connect to the Lo-Z receptacles of the test unit and polarized BNC jack (Kings LC-33-02) to connect to the tee connector, two are necessary.
NOTE: Shielded cables on Lo-Z connections can
____ cause EMI problems.
b) Adapter cable - 50 ohm, with BNC plug (Amphenol 31-202) to connect to the Hi Z receptacle on the test unit and a BNC receptacle (AMP 330885) to connect to the tee connector.

(1) Connect the external electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

(2) Remove all fuel from the fuel tank, and the fuel in the sumps ú (AMM 28-23-00/201).
NOTE: If you do the trim for only one tank system, you can move

the fuel into the other tanks.

(3) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) QTY
2) EP GND FUELING

(4) Connect the test equipment.
(a)
Remove the fuel quantity indicator from the pilots' panel (Fig. 501).
(b)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear of the indicator.
(c)
Connect the test harness to the aircraft wire bundle.
(d)
Connect the test harness to the system test unit (Fig. 502).

(5) Measure the empty tank capacitances.
(a)
Set the FUNCTION SEL switch on the test unit to EXT CAP (PSD40-1) or set the FUNCT switch to MEASURE EXT (PSD60-1).
(b)
Set the FUNCTION MEASURE switch (PSD40-1) or the SELECT switch (PSD60-1) to COMP.
(c)
Set the power switch to ON.
(d)
Measure the capacitance of the compensator.
1) The capacitance of must be 40.2 picofarad (pf) with a tolerance of |1.2 pf.
(e)
Set the FUNCTION MEASURE switch (PSD40-1) or the SELECT switch (PSD60-1) to TU.
(f)
Measure the capacitance of the tank units.
