 <INDEX on the CDU screen display). 4) Make sure that the INIT/REF INDEX page shows. 5) Make sure that the PERF INIT page shows with the total fuel

 (c)  If the IRS is aligned: 1) Push the INIT REF button. 2) Make sure that the PERF INIT page shows with the total fuel

 FUEL SUMMATION UNIT - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

 1.  General_______
 A.  This section contains an operational test of the fuel summation unit (FSU). The fuel summation unit adds the total of the fuel quantity signals from the fuel tanks.
 B.  You read the fuel quantities for an empty tank and a full tank on the control display unit (CDU) of the flight management computer system (FMCS). The FMCS gets its fuel quantity data from the data on the fuel quantity indicators. Thus the precision of CDU data is not better than the precision of each fuel quantity indicator. If you are not sure that one or more of the fuel quantity indicators is accurate, do the check for the adjustment of the fuel quantity indicators (AMM 28-41-00/501, 28-41-02/501) before you do this task.
