Attach the head of the fuel measuring stick with the locking pin.

Put a plug in the drip hole in the head.

Put the bayonet assembly into the bottom wing surface.
(a) Make sure the fuel measuring stick is fully extended all of the time.

Install the two retaining screws in the bayonet.

Remove the plug from the drip hole if it is installed.

CAUTION: DO NOT USE FORCE TO GIVE THE FUEL MEASURING STICK THE CORRECT
_______ FIT. THE MEASURING STICK CAN BE AT AN INCORRECT LOCATION IF IT DOES NOT FIT. DAMAGE TO THE MEASURING STICK CAN OCCUR IF YOU USE FORCE.

Carefully push up the fuel measuring stick until it is engaged.

Turn the head of the fuel measuring stick clockwise and lock it.

(1) T5-0497K - spanner wrench, to install the retainer in the housing -drawing available from Kaiser Electroprecision, 17000 South Red Hill Avenue, Irvine, CA 92714 for local fabrication
