FUEL FEED LOW PRESSURE INDICATING SYSTEM - TROUBLE SHOOTING

1. General_______
A. This is the trouble shooting procedure for the low pressure indicating system for the engine fuel-feed system. This procedure isolates the circuit problems to find out which component to replace or which wire to repair.
B. Prepare for Trouble Shooting
(1)
Make sure there is fuel in all of the tanks, and the center tank has a minimum of 1000 pounds (450 kilograms) of fuel.
(2)
Make sure the APU master switch is set to OFF.
(3)
Make sure the engine shutoff valves are CLOSED.
(4)
Make sure the manual defueling valve is closed.
(5)
Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
(a) On the main power distribution panel, P6: 1) BOOST PUMP TANK 1 FWD 2) BOOST PUMP TANK 2 FWD 3) BOOST PUMP TANK 1 AFT 4) BOOST PUMP TANK 2 AFT 5) BOOST PUMP CTR TANK LEFT 6) BOOST PUMP CTR TANK RIGHT 7) MASTER DIM BUS IND

FUEL FEED LOW PRESSURE INDICATING SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. This procedure has one task. The task is a test for the correct operation of the indication system (referred to as "the indication system") for low pressure in the fuel feed system.
B. To do the test of the indication system, the center tank, the No. 1 tank, and the No. 2 tank must each contain a minimum of 2000 pounds (900 kilograms). This test of the indication system is a part of the operational test for the engine fuel-feed system (AMM 28-22-00/501). If you do the operational test for the engine fuel-feed system, it is not necessary to do this procedure also.
