ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE THE FIRE BOTTLE TO
RELEASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS
AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(e) Before you touch the squib, do the procedure for devices that sensitive to electrostatic discharge (AMM 20-40-12/201).

(16) Remove the protective covers from these engine squibs:
(a)
Squib 1 (forward) on the left (forward) fire extinguisher bottle
(b)
Squib 2 (aft) on the right (aft) fire extinguisher bottle

WARNING: DO NOT INSTALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR TO THE SQUIB WHEN THERE IS
_______ VOLTAGE PRESENT AT THE PINS OF THE CONNECTOR. ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE OF SQUIB MAY CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
(17) Reconnect these electrical connectors:
(a)
D582 to squib 1 (forward) on the L (forward) fire extinguisher bottle.
(b)
D1324 to squib 2 (aft) on the R (aft) fire extinguisher bottle.

(18) Close these circuit breakers on the P6-2 panel:
(a)
EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES RIGHT
(b)
EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES LEFT
(c)
EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE RIGHT
(d)

(e)
EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE APU

(19) Set and hold the EXT TEST switch on the P8-1 panel in position 1.
(a) Make sure that only these lights on the P8-1 panel come on: 1) L (green) 2) APU (green)

(20) Release the EXT TEST switch.
(a) Make sure all lights on the P8-1 go off.

(21) Set and hold the EXT TEST switch on the P8-1 panel in position 2.
(a) Make sure that only these lights on the P8-1 come on: 1) R (green)

(25) Reconnect these electrical connectors:
(a)
D584 to squib 1 (forward) on R (aft) fire extinguisher bottle.
(b)
D1322 to squib 2 (aft) on the L (forward) fire extinguisher bottle.
