 1.  General_______
 A. This procedure has these tasks:
 (1)  
Removal of the Cargo Compartment Smoke Detector.

 (2)  
Installation of the Cargo Compartment Smoke Detector.

 B. Prepare for the Removal
 S 864-002
 (1) Open this circuit breaker and install a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
 (a)  Circuit Breaker Panel, P6 or P18
 1) FWD CARGO SMOKE DETECTION A
 2) FWD CARGO SMOKE DETECTION B
 3) AFT CARGO SMOKE DETECTION A
 4) AFT CARGO SMOKE DETECTION B

 S 014-003
 (2) Open the applicable (forward or aft) cargo compartment door.
 C. Remove the Smoke Detector
 S 034-004
 (1)  
Remove the screws (3) that hold the screen (1) to the cargo compartment ceiling.

 S 034-005

 (2)  
Remove the screws (5) that hold the smoke detector (2) to the detector pan assembly.

 (3)  
Disconnect the electrical connector from the smoke detector (2).
