Do these steps to connect the electrical connector, D12794, to the FWD squib of the bottle. 1) Remove the protective cover from the FWD squib.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THERE IS NO VOLTAGE AT THE ELECTRICAL
_______ CONNECTOR. IF THERE IS A VOLTAGE AT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR, THE SQUIB CAN RELEASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
2) Make sure there is no voltage between pins 1 and 2 of the electrical connector, D12794.
NOTE: Connect a 10K ohm resistor across the meter
____ leads to remove all stray voltage from the electrical connector.
3) Make sure the squib pins are not bent or damaged.

4) Make sure the electrical connector is not damaged.
NOTE:____ The squib pins can cause damage to the connector
the pins do not enter the electrical connector
receptacles.
5) Connect the electrical connector, D12794, to the FWD squib
of the bottle.
(c) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close this circuit breaker on
the P6 or P18 panel:
1) LWR CARGO FIRE EXT 1
(d) On the cargo fire control panel, P8, push and hold the TEST
switch.
1) Make sure the green FWD EXT light on the cargo fire control
panel comes on.
2) Make sure the green AFT EXT light stays off.
(e) Release the TEST switch.
1) Make sure the green FWD EXT light goes off.

(14) Connect and do a test of the AFT squib to the fire extinguishing bottle.

Open this circuit breaker on the P6 or P18 panel and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) LWR CARGO FIRE EXT 1

On the cargo fire control panel, P8, push and hold the TEST.
1) Make sure the green FWD and AFT EXT lights on the cargo fire control panel come on.
(e)
Release the TEST switch. 1) Make sure the green FWD and AFT EXT lights go off.
G. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

If it was removed, install the air conditioning duct in front of the fire extinguishing bottle.

Install the lining at the aft end of the forward cargo compartment.

Close the forward cargo door, 4404R.
