Put a mark on all four bottle discharge lines to use when you install the lines after the test.

Disconnect the four bottle discharge lines at the bottles.

Seal the forward fairing discharge lines with these steps
(a)
Open the fan cowls.
(b)
Seal the discharge nozzles with the test equipment plugs.

(4) Seal the core discharge line with these steps.
(a)
Open the left fan duct cowl and thrust reverser half (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(b)
Seal discharge nozzles with the test equipment plugs.

(5)
Connect the right hose from one bottle to the left hose from the same bottle.
(6)
Seal one of the two hoses and keep the other one open.

Connect the supply of compressed air to the open hose.

Apply 35 |5 psig to the discharge line.

Permit a minimum of 3 minutes for the air pressure in the fire extinguisher tubes to become stable.

Isolate the air pressure source from the fire extinguisher tubes.

Make sure that after 2 minutes the pressure does not decrease by more than 1 psi.

Release the air pressure and disconnect the air source.
