3) CONTROL CABIN LIGHTING INDICATOR LIGHTS MASTER DIM BUS (nine circuit breakers)

WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE SQUIB BEFORE YOU DO THE PROCEDURES FOR DEVICES
_______ THAT ARE SENSITIVE TO ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE. ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE THE FIRE BOTTLE TO RELASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Before you touch the squib, do the procedure for devices that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (AMM 20-40-12/201).

Remove the electrical connector from the squib.

Put a cap or metal foil over the squib connector.

Remove the lockwire from the squib.

Remove the squib from the bottle.

Put caps on the squib and the bottle fitting.

Examine the squib for wear or damage.
(a) Make sure there is no damage to the soft seal which prevents damage to the explosive charge.
NOTE: The soft seal is opposite the electrical connector.

If there is damage to the seal, replace it.
(c)
If there is corrosion on the squib threads, replace the squib.

(9) Examine the squib service date and make sure the squib is not expired.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THERE ARE CAPS OR SHUNT PLUGS INSTALLED ON THE SQUIBS
_______ WHEN YOU TOUCH OR MOVE THE SQUIBS. THE SQUIB IS AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE AND CAN CAUSE INJURY IF IT IS ACCIDENTALLY FIRED.

To prevent incorrect squib connections, do the removal and
installation procedures for each squib, one at a time.Standard Tools and Equipment

Procedure

(1)
Remove the caps on the squib and the bottle fitting.

(2)
Install the squib to the bottle fitting.
(a) Tighten the squib to 90 - 100 pound-inches.

Install the lockwire to the squib.

Remove the cap or metal foil from the squib.Installation Check

Make sure the four squib electrical connectors on the engine extinguisher bottles are disconnected.

Make sure the conductive rubber shunt plugs are installed across the pins of each squib.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

(4)
Close these circuit breakers:
(a) P6 Load Control Center Panel
1) EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES RIGHT
2) EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES LEFT
3) EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE RIGHT
4) EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE LEFT
