3) ENG NO. 2

(3) Open these circuit breakers:
(a) P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) OVHT WHL WELL WING BDY

(4) Set the two OVHT DET switches on the P8-1 panel to the NORMAL position.
D. Procedure
S 865-006
(1) Open the FIRE PROTECTION DETECTION ENG 2 circuit breaker on the P6-2 panel.
(a) Make sure the FAULT light on the P8-1 panel comes on.

(2) Push and hold the TEST switch on the P8-1 panel in the OVHT/FIRE position.
(a)
Make sure these lights on the P8-1 panel come on: 1) the ENG 1 OVERHEAT light 2) all of the lights in the engine-1 fire switch 3) all of the lights in the APU fire switch.
(b)
Make sure these lights on the P7 panel come on: 1) AIRPLANES WITH OTHER THAN -98 FIRE DETECTION UNIT;
the two FIRE WARN lights
2) the two MASTER CAUTION lights
3) the OVHT/DET annunciator.
(c)
AIRPLANES WITH OTHER THAN -98 FIRE DETECTION UNIT; make sure that you hear the alarm bell in the control cabin.

(3) Release the TEST switch on the P8-1 panel.
(a) Make sure these lights on the P8-1 panel go off: 1) the ENG 1 OVERHEAT light 2) all of the lights in the engine-1 fire switch

(b)
Make sure these lights on the P7 panel go off: 1) AIRPLANES WITH OTHER THAN -98 FIRE DETECTION UNIT;
the two FIRE WARN lights
2) the two MASTER CAUTION lights
3) the OVHT/DET annunciator.
(c)
AIRPLANES WITH OTHER THAN -98 FIRE DETECTION UNIT; make sure that you do not hear the alarm bell in the control cabin.

(4) Close the FIRE PROTECTION DETECTION ENG 2 circuit breaker on the P6-2 panel.
(a) Make sure the FAULT light on the P8-1 panel goes off.

(5) Open the FIRE PROTECTION DETECTION ENG 1 circuit breaker on the P6-2 panel.
(a) Make sure the FAULT light on the P8-1 panel comes on.

(6) Set and hold the TEST switch on the P8-1 panel to the OVHT/FIRE position.
(a)
Make sure that these lights on the P8-1 panel come on: 1) the ENG 2 OVERHEAT light 2) all of the lights in the engine-2 fire switch 3) all of the lights in the APU fire switch.
(b)
Make sure these lights on the P7 panel come on: 1) AIRPLANES WITH OTHER THAN -98 FIRE DETECTION UNIT;
the two FIRE WARN lights
2) the two MASTER CAUTION lights
3) the OVHT/DET annunciator.
(c)
AIRPLANES WITH OTHER THAN -98 FIRE DETECTION UNIT; make sure that you hear the alarm bell in the control cabin.

(7) Release the TEST switch on the P8-1 panel.
