1. General
_______
A. There is one task in this section:
(1) Do a test of the wheel well overheat detection system.
B. This procedure does a test of the lights, the components, and the wires ú that are a part of the wheel well overheat detection system.
C. A test of the other lights, the components, and the wires that are
specific to the wing and lower aft body overheat detection system is done ú in AMM 26-18-00/501.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Open these circuit breakers:
(a) P6 Load Control Center - Right 1) FIRE PROTECTION DETECTION ENG NO. 1 2) FIRE PROTECTION DETECTION ENG NO. 2 3) FIRE PROTECTION DETECTION APU

(3) Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
(a) P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) MASTER WARN & CONTROL
2) OVHT WHL WELL WNG BDY
D. Do the test

(1) Do the test of the wheel well overheat detection system operation.
(a)
Push the WHEEL WELL light on the engine and APU fire control (P8-1) panel.
(b)
Make sure that the WHEEL WELL light on the P8-1 panel comes on.

(2) Do the test of the BELL CUTOUT switch for the wheel well overheat detection system.
(a)
Move the TEST switch on the P8-1 panel to the OVHT/FIRE position and hold.
(b)
Make sure that the indications are as follows:
1) The two FIRE WARN lights come on.
2) The WHEEL WELL light on the P8-1 panel comes on.
3) The alarm bell operates.
(c)
Push the BELL CUTOUT switch on the P8-1 panel.
(d)
Make sure that the indications are as follows:
1) The alarm bell makes no sound.
2) The two FIRE WARN lights go off.
3) The WHEEL WELL light stays on.
