Connect a 28 volt DC test lamp or multimeter to pins 6 and 7 of connector D582 - L (forward) bottle, squib 1.
(a) Make sure the two test lamps do not come on or do a check for less than 1 vdc on the two multimeters.

Push the override button behind the fire switch handle for engine 1 and pull the handle.

Turn the fire handle for engine 1 fully counterclockwise and hold it in its position.
