(8) Close the FIRE PROTECTION DETECTION ENG 1 circuit breaker on the P6-2 panel.
(a) Make sure the FAULT light on the P8-1 panel goes off.

Set the two OVHT DET switches on the P8-1 panel to the loop A position.

Set and hold the TEST switch on the P8-1 panel to the OVHT/FIRE position.
(a)
Make sure these lights on the P8-1 panel come on:
1) the ENG 1 OVERHEAT light
2) the ENG 2 OVERHEAT light
3) all of the lights in the engine-1 fire switch
4) all of the lights in the engine-2 fire switch
5) all of the lights in the APU fire switch.
(b)
Make sure these lights on the P7 panel come on:
1) the two FIRE WARN lights
2) the two MASTER CAUTION lights
3) the OVHT/DET annunciator.
(c)
Make sure you hear the alarm bell in the control cabin.

(a)
Make sure these lights on the P8-1 panel go off:
1) the ENG 1 OVERHEAT light
2) the ENG 2 OVERHEAT light
3) all of the lights in the engine-1 fire switch

5) all of the lights in the APU fire switch.

Make sure these lights on the P7 panel go off:
