D. Do a Test of the Engine Squib Circuits

Make sure all the lights on the P8-1 panel are off.

Set and hold the EXT TEST switch on the P8-1 Engine and APU Fire Control Panel, to 1.

Makes sure only these lights on the P8-1 panel come on:
(a)
R (green)
(b)
L (green)
(c)
APU (green)

Release the EXT TEST switch.

Make sure all of the lights on the P8-1 panel go off.

Set and hold the EXT TEST switch on the P8-1 panel at 2.

(a) Make sure the R BOTTLE DISCHARGED light (amber) comes on.

Connect the connector D586 to the left (forward) fire extinguisher bottle pressure switch and D588 to the right (aft) fire extinguisher bottle pressure switch.

3. Engine Fire Extinguishing - System Test_______________________________________
A. General
(1) This test procedure examines the two engine fire switch circuits between the P8 panel and each squib connector.

Multimeter 0-1000v dc |1%, 0-750v ac, 0-2 amps, 0-2 megohm (commercially available)

EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE LEFT
