 (a)  Make sure the two test lamps do not come on. or do a check for less than 1 vdc on the two multimeters.

 (21) Turn the fire handle for engine 2 fully clockwise and hold it in its position.
 (a)  Make sure the two test lamps come on. or do a check for more than 16 vdc on the two multimeters.

 (a)  Make sure the two test lamps are off. or do a check for less than 1 vdc on the two multimeters.

 Disconnect the two test lamps or multimeters from connector D1324.

 Put the fire switch handle for engine 2 back to the correctly closed position.

 Connect a 28 volt DC test lamp or multimeter to pins 1 and 2 of connector D594, APU squib connector.

 (a)  Make sure the test lamp does not come on. or do a check for less than 1 vdc on the multimeter.

 Push the override button behind the fire switch handle for the APU and pull the handle.

 Turn the APU fire handle fully counterclockwise and hold it in its position.

 (30) Release the fire handle for the APU.
 (a)  Make sure the test lamp goes off. or do a check for less than 1 vdc on the multimeter.

 Disconnect the test lamp or multimeter from connector D594.

 J. Connect and do a check of the bottle squib connections.

Open the EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE APU circuit breaker on the P6-2 panel.

Remove the shunt plug from the APU squib.

Connect connector D594 to the squib on the APU bottle.

Close the EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE APU circuit breaker on the P6-2 panel.

 (a)  Make sure these circuit breakers on the p6-2 panel are closed: 1) EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES RIGHT 2) EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES LEFT 3) EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE RIGHT 4) EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE LEFT

 (5)  Move the EXT TEST switch on the P8-1 panel to 1 and hold it.
 (a)  Make sure that only the APU (green) light on the P8-1 comes on.

 (6)  Move the EXT TEST switch on the P8-1 panel to 2 and hold it.
 (a)  Make sure that only the APU (green) light on the P8-1 comes on.

 (7)  Open these circuit breakers on the P6-2 panel:

 (b)  
EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES LEFT

EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE LEFT

 (8)  Remove the shunt plugs from these engine squibs:
 (a)  
Squib 1 (forward) on the L (forward) fire extinguisher bottle

 (b)  
Squib 2 (aft) on the R (aft) fire extinguisher bottle
