WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE SQUIB BEFORE YOU DO THE PROCEDURES FOR DEVICES
_______ THAT ARE SENSITIVE TO ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE. ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE THE FIRE BOTTLE TO RELEASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(5) Before you touch the squibs, do the procedure for devices that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (AMM 20-40-12/201).
E. Remove the Squib
S 034-007
(1) Disconnect the electrical connectors from the applicable squib.
(a)
Disconnect the FWD Squib (M2249) connector, D12794.
(b)
Disconnect the AFT Squib (M2250) connector, D12796.

WARNING:_______PUT A PROTECTIVE COVER ON THE FIRE BOTTLE SQUIB. IF YOU DO NOT PUT A PROTECTIVE COVER ON THE FIRE BOTTLE SQUIB, THE FIRE BOTTLE CAN RELEASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.

Put a protective cover on the squib (1).

Remove the lockwire (2) from the squib (1).

Remove the squib (1) from the discharge head.

D. Prepare for the Installation

(1) Open this circuit breaker on the circuit breaker panel P6 or P18, and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) LWR CARGO FIRE EXT 1

Open the forward cargo door, 4404R.

Remove the lining at the aft end of the forward cargo compartment to get access to the mix manifold bay.

If it is necessary, remove the air conditioning duct that is in front of the fire extinguishing bottle.
E. Install the Squib

(1) Do these steps to install the squib.
