WARNING:_______PUT THE PROTECTIVE COVERS ON THE FIRE BOTTLE SQUIBS. IF YOU DO NOT PUT THE PROTECTIVE COVERS ON THE FIRE BOTTLE SQUIBS, THE FIRE BOTTLES CAN RELEASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
CAUTION:_______DO NOT PUT SHUNT PLUGS ON THE FIRE BOTTLE SQUIBS. THE SHUNT PLUGS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SQUIB PINS.

Put a protective cover on the fire bottle squib.

Disconnect the tubing from the thermal relief discharge port.

Disconnect the discharge line from the discharge port on the fire extinguisher bottle.

Remove the three mounting bolts and remove the fire extinguisher bottle.

_______ THAT ARE SENSITIVE TO ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE. ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE THE FIRE BOTTLE TO RELEASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Before you touch the squib, do the procedure for devices that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (AMM 20-40-12/201).
NOTE: Some new bottles are supplied with the discharge squib not
____ assembled to the bottle. The squib is installed after the bottle is installed in the airplane.
The date of manufacture tag, if supplied with the squib, must be secured to the bottle discharge port.

(2) Make a check of the weight of the APU fire extinguisher bottle before installation to prevent installation of an unserviceable bottle. The maximum weight of a serviceable fire extinguisher bottle with the squib installed is shown on the nameplate. Do not install bottles that weigh 0.10 pounds less than the total weight shown on the nameplate. The total weight identified on the nameplate includes: the discharge outlet, the squib with protective cap, the fill fitting, and the extinguishing agent.
E. Procedure

Put the fire extinguisher bottle in the support frame and install the mounting bolts.
(2)
Connect the discharge line to the discharge plug.
