APU FIRE DETECTION SENSING ELEMENT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. Three detectors are in the APU compartment; the APU fire detector, the exhaust overheat detector and the exhaust fire detector.
B. This section contains two tasks. The first task removes detector elements. It is made up of four procedures. The first procedure prepares for the removal of an element. The second removes an element from the APU fire detector. The third removes an element from the exhaust fire detector. The fourth removes an element from the exhaust overheat detector.
C. The second task installs detector elements. It is made up of four procedures. The first procedure prepares for the installation of a detector element. The second installs an element on the APU fire detector. The third installs an element on the exhaust fire detector. The fourth installs an element on the exhaust overheat detector.
