 TASK 26-18-11-735-001
 2.  Wing and Lower Aft Body Overheat Detection Sensing Element Test (Fig. 501)_______________________________________________________________
 A.  General
 CAUTION: FOR SENSING ELEMENTS IN THE STRUT AREAS
_______ OR THE WING LEADING EDGE; DO NOT USE A MULTIMETER ON THE SENSOR ELEMENTS IF THE ELEMENT'S TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE 210 DEGREES F (149 DEGREES C). IF THE TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 210 DEGREES F (149 DEGREES C) BUT ABOVE 70 DEGREES F (21 DEGREES C), LIMIT METER USE TO FIVE SECOND APPLICATIONS WITH NO MORE THAN 2 APPLICATIONS PER MINUTE. IF THE TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 70 DEGREES F (21 DEGREES C), THE METER MAY BE USED WITHOUT RESTRICTION. IF THESE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT FOLLOWED, DAMAGE TO THE SENSOR ELEMENT MAY OCCUR.
 CAUTION: FOR SENSING ELEMENTS NOT IN THE STRUT AREA

IF THE TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 155 DEGREES F (68 DEGREES C) BUT ABOVE 70 DEGREES F (21 DEGREES C), LIMIT METER USE TO FIVE SECOND APPLICATIONS WITH NO MORE THAN 2 APPLICATIONS PER MINUTE. IF THE TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 70 DEGREES F (21 DEGREES C), THE METER MAY BE USED WITHOUT RESTRICTION. IF THESE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT FOLLOWED, DAMAGE TO THE SENSOR ELEMENT MAY OCCUR.
 (1)  
Obey this caution during all of this task.

 (2)  
Test sensing loop only when all units in the system are stabilized at ambient temperature. Failure of an element to meet the specification noted in the following paragraphs is cause for replacement.
