 (6)  AIRPLANES WITH TERMINAL LUG CONNECTORS; Attach the terminal lug connectors with the screw, washer, and nut.
 (a)  Align the lug on the wire with the center line of the terminal lug.

 (3)  Set the TEST switch on the P8-1 panel to the OVHT/FIRE position and hold.
 (a)  Make sure these indications occur:
 1)  These lights on panel P8-1 come on: a) ENG 1 OVERHEAT b) ENG 2 OVERHEAT c) the fire handle for engine 1 d) the fire handle for engine 2 e) APU fire handle
 2)  These lights on panel P7 are on: a) both FIRE WARN lights b) both MASTER CAUTION lights c) OVHT/DET annunciator
 3)  The alarm bell in the control cabin comes on.

 (4)  Release the TEST switch on the P8-1 panel.
 (a)  Make sure all indications stop.

 LAVATORY SMOKE DETECTION SYSTEM - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  A smoke detector is installed in or near the ceiling of each lavatory and is connected to the airplane DC bus number 1. A green indicator light on the detector comes on when power is applied to the detector. The detector monitors the air for presence of smoke or equivalent contaminants. When the concentration of smoke at the sensor gets to a preset threshold, the smoke detector alarm occurs.
