 M. FUEL FLOW A fuel flow indication is provided to the pilots. It is located below the N2 information. Two values are displayed, one per engine. As for the fuel on board information, this parameter is given in kg/h.

 L. EGT INDICATION The EGT indications are provided in the same form as for the N1 indications. The same applies to the changes in color and the EGT exceeding indications. However it has to be noticed that the amber line (EGT MAX) is variable.

An amber REV indication comes into view at the middle of the N1 dial when at least one reverser blocker door is unstowed or unlocked. If this occurs in flight, the REV indication first flashes for 9 s and then remains steady. This indication changes to green color when the fan reverser blocker doors are fully deployed and when the reverse thrust can be applied.

 P. AVAIL indication The AVAIL indication is located at the same place as the REV indication. This indicates that the engine relight is successfull. In flight a green message AVAIL keeps pulsing until the throttle lever angle is greater than 8. (confirmed 5s), or until 60s have elapsed. On ground a green message stands until the throttle lever angle is greater 8. (confirmed 5s), or until 10s have elapsed. The AVAIL indication can be displayed only if the option is activated by pin- programming. (Ref. Fig. 010)

In case of failure of any parameter, the associated indication is replaced by amber crosses. When this parameter is either N1 or EGT, the scale support is also presented in amber color.

 R. MONITORING OF THE RELEVANT DISPLAY OF THE ENGINE PARAMETERS N1, N2, EGT and FF (Fuel Flow) indications of both engines are monitored internally and externally. The DMC compares the N1 signal received from the ECU1 with the feedback signal which reflects the displayed position of the N1 needle. In order to grant dissimilarity with the engine 2 monitoring process, the DMC compares the N1 signal from the ECU2 with the feedback signal representing the N1 digital value. The same applies to the EGT parameters indications, but with the displayed position of the engine 2 EGT needle and the engine 1 EGT digital feedback value. As for the N2 and FF parameters, the DMC compares the direct signal from the ECU with the displayed digital value (alpha-N signature process). In case of detected discrepancy, a CHECK amber message is displayed just below the relevant parameter indication. In addition the FWC's perform an external monitoring between the feedback signals (that correspond to the displayed values) and the signals that are directly received by the FWC's from the ECU's. Should a discrepancy occurs, for one or more parameters, a CHECK amber message is displayed under the relevant indication. The FWC's generate a caution:
 -single chime
 -master caution light
-message on the upper ECAM DU : ENG1(2) N1(N2/EGT/FF) DISCREPANCY The displayed main engine parameters (N1, EGT, FF) are monitored by the EIS. For N1 and EGT, each DU compares the signals received from the ECU with the feedback signals which reflect the displayed position of the needle and the digital value. For the Fuel Flow parameter, the DU compares the direct signal from the ECU with the displayed digital value. The feedback messages is displayed above the FOB indication: CHECK CAPT PFD (amber) CHECK F/O PFD CHECK CAPT ND CHECK F/O ND CHECK SD In case of detected discrepancy, to indicate a DU failure to the crew. A warning message is also generated by the FWC.
