When a pilot sets a switch to VOR or ADF for display, the following
data are displayed in all the modes except in the PLAN mode:
-characteristics of the station
-bearing needles
always in the same color:
-white for VOR
-green for ADF
(2) NAV station ident/frequency/tuning Mode The VOR, DME, station tuning and the selection of the station for display is normally made automatically as the A/C flies along the flight plan. At any time the pilot can override the automatic selection and manually select a desired station through the MCDU in the RADIO NAV page.

At last if both FMGCs have failed, the pilot can perform the station selection through the RMP in the NAV back-up mode. The ADF station tuning and the selection of the station for display obey the same principles, except that the automatic tuning selection for display, is only made for the station specified for an approach.
