In addition the weather radar image is superimposed to the map. (The active waypoint and its associated identification are displayed in a display window). For a given range selected value, the image scale is the same in the ROSE and ARC modes, since the ROSE diameter is exactly equal to the ARC radius in the ARC mode: the weather radar indications in the ROSE mode are identical to those in the ARC mode, but shifted upwards. (The same applies to the map data).

Consequently, the radius of the heading dial represents half the selected range marker value in the ROSE mode, and the full value in the ARC mode.

(2) Tilt angle - calibration mode The antenna tilt angle is displayed in degrees and quarter of a degree, in the right part of the DU (cyan color). The calibration mode (automatic or manual) is displayed below the tilt angle, in green color in case of manual mode MAN e.g.: TILT -3.25

(2) Tilt angle - calibration mode (Ref. Fig. 065) In Autotilt mode, the antenna tilt angle is displayed in degrees and quarter of a degree, in the right part of the DU (green color): -3.2 In Manual mode, the antenna tilt angle is displayed in degrees and quarter of a degree, in the right part of the DU (cyan color), together with the indication MAN, also in cyan: MAN -3.2 In case of failure, in Autotilt mode, the tilt angle is then replaced by amber dashes: "--.-" In Manual Calibration Mode, the message "MAN GAIN" is displayed on the right lower corner of the ND. This message is displayed in white: MAN GAIN MAN -3.2

(3) WXR failure messages Detected WXR failures are announced in the ND right bottom part, according to the following priority order:
**ON A/C 001-049, 051-099, 101-105, 151-199, 201-299, 301-302,
R/T WR (red) for a WXR T/R failure (highest priority) ANT WR (red) for a WXR antenna failure CTL WR (red) for a WXR control unit failure
RNG WR (red) for an error in the range.

WXR R/T (red) for a WXR T/R failure (highest priority) WXR ANT (red) for a WXR antenna failure WXR CTL (red) for a WXR control unit failure
WXR RNG (red) for an error in the range.

-the DMC compares the range value from the FCU with the range sent back by the transceiver unit on its data bus. If there is a discrepancy, the weather radar is considered as faulty, and the echoes are no longer displayed.
-However this comparison is inhibited for 8s after a change of selected range value, which is indicated on the ND by the RNG CHANGE message.
In case of multiple failures, only the highest priority message is
written.
All the above failures lead to the cancellation of the WXR image.
Other failures not leading to a loss of the WXR image:
**ON A/C 001-049, 051-099, 101-105, 151-199, 201-299, 301-302,
-WEAK WR (amber) for a calibration failure
-ATT WR (amber) for an attitude control failure
-STAB WR (amber) for an antenna stabilization failure.
