 (19) Side Stick Controller Order On the ground with one engine running, a white cross indicates the resulting side stick controller order from the Captain and the First Officer: up and rightfor an order controlling on A/C nose up and right movement. Four white corners show the limits of this cross in pitch (plus or minus 15.) and in roll (plus or minus 19.).

 (20) Attitude Protection Indication Two small green dashes on each side of the cut-sphere show that the roll protections are available (plus or minus 65.). Other green dashes on the pitch scale (on each side of the +30. and -15. graduations) show that the pitch protections are available: +30., -15.. If not (for pitch or roll, independently), the dashes are replaced by amber crosses.

 (21) System messages (feedback monitoring) (Ref. Fig. 035) A safety function is implemented in the EIS to monitor the critical parameters displayed on the PFD,such as PITCH, ROLL. When a discrepancy occurs between an incoming parameter (at the DMC input) and the same parameter ready to be drawn on the relevant DU (inside the DU), then a feedback message is generated on the DUs which monitor the faulty DU.
 (a)
Some of the feedback messages are displayed above the attitude zone: CHECK PFD CAPT (amber) CHECK PFD FO (amber) CHECK EWD (amber) DISPLAY SYSTEM VERSION INCONSISTENCY (amber) DU NOT MONITORED (amber)
