The chrono indications are displayed on the left lower corner of the ND (item aq). Each pilot can get a chrono indication (from the DMC internal clock) in any of the ND modes. The elapsed time information is indicated in digital form (green color), on a grey background colored area. The indication is given in minutes and seconds from O to 59' 59" or 9'59", then in hours and minutes from 1 h to 99h 59'. When the pilot presses his onside CHRONO pushbutton switch, the chronometer display comes into view on his ND, and the chronometer starts counting. When he presses this pushbutton switch again the chrono indication (elapsed time) freezes. When he presses it a 3rd time, the chrono is reset and the indication goes out of view. In case of failure, all these indications are cleared.

It is displayed when a WXR transceiver is operating (provided that there is information to be displayed, location of precipitation zones or geographic map contour), and provided that the ND is not in the PLAN mode. (The weather radar image can be obtained in all the other ND modes).
A weather radar picture can have elements of various colors: green, yellow, red, magenta, cyan, amber. The WXR transceivers generate 3 color bits to provide visual display of the intensity of atmospheric disturbances by varying the colors of the echoes. The colors change in the following order for increasing precipitation rates: black (not visible), green, yellow, red.
