(d) Pseudo waypoint It is a point of the A/C trajectory where the A/C reaches a selected or a constrained altitude or speed. These pseudo waypoints are:
-Level point (item ao) (Ref. Fig. 045) There is no symbol in view when Z sel - 100 Ft.<Z<Z sel + 100 Ft. This symbol gives the point on the flight plan where the A/C reaches the selected altitude (provided that the A/C present flight path is kept) when the AFS CLB or DES mode is engaged. Color: cyan (level 2) and magenta (level 1) if it corresponds to a constraint. When the AFS operates in the HDG mode and NAV is armed, if the level point is on the straight line continuing the A/C track and meeting the flight plan, this level point is called point level 3. It is also drawn in cyan color.
-Start of climb and top of descent (T/D) (Ref. Fig. 045) This symbol shows the point on the flight plan where the A/C leaves the cruise flight level to initiate the climb or the descent. It is in white (start of climb 1, T/D1) before CLB or DES is armed then in cyan color (start of climb 2, T/D2) when the corresponding mode is armed.
-Intercept point (Ref. Fig. 045) This symbol shows the point where the A/C meets the FMGC computed vertical profile: white or cyan color.
 -
Speed change The associated symbol is a magenta point. It indicates the point(s) of the flight plan where the speed has to change: increasing or decreasing.

 -
Speed change limit distance The associatd symbol is a magenta point. It indicates (on the track line ) the distance, with respect to the A/C symbol, where the speed has to change.

-Decelerate point (Ref. Fig. 045, 046) DECEL 1 The associated symbol is a magenta circle with a D inside. It indicates the point of the flight plan where the aircraft must decelerate.

Holding patterns and procedure turns (Ref. Fig. 045) They are displayed only when they are part of the flight plan. For the 80, 160 and 320 NM selected range values, the holding patterns or procedure turns are represented by a white arrowed arc, originating from the associated fix (navigational entry point), and showing the direction to follow for the intercept point. Holding pattern on procedure turn is represented by the complete circuit, drawn at the right scale if the holding pattern or procedure turn is in the active flight leg. If not, it is represented as the figure referenced above (ARC). When the complete circuit is shown (10, 20, 40 NM and circuit in the active leg), it is displayed at the right scale, and its size changes according to the A/C speed so as to be covered in the time which is assigned (e.g. 6 minutes for a holding).

 (h)
Energy Circle Symbol The energy circle is represented by a circle arc centred on the A/C centre. The radius of the arc is given by the energy circle distance label and the opening arc angle is fixed at 40.. This symbol is not available:
