-MM for Middle Marker (amber color).
-IM for Inner Marker (white color). In case of another message (ILS, MLS, GLS) displayed at the intersection , the markers are positionned lightly lower on the right. When the pilot has selected an ILS approach on his MCDU and if he presses the APPR pushbutton switch on the FCU, without having pressed the ILS pushbutton switch before, an ILS amber message flashes to recall him to select the ILS indications on his PFD In case of MLS or GLS approach ability installed the reminder ILS is replaced by LS with the same displaying conditions. If the pilot has selected a non precision approach (RNAV APP) through his MCDU, vertical deviation scale comes into view when the final descent is armed as well as the corresponding deviation index. These indications disappear below the MDA. If in that case, the pilot presses the ILS pushbutton switch, the GLIDE and the LOC scales appear. but the V/DEV amber message flashes to remind the pilot to monitor the aircraft vertical trajectory on the vertical deviation scale. In this case, the pilot is expected to press the ILS pushbutton switch in order to display the V/DEV scale.
