This symbol (which consists of 2 triangles facing each other and linked by a thin line whose the middle is indicated by a small point) has 3 degrees of freedom:
-lateral displacements (parallel to the horizon line),
-longitudinal displacements (parallel to the pitch scale),
-rotation around its middle.
It follows the lateral and longitudinal displacements of the FPV and
gives the pitch and roll orders respectively through its longitudinal
and rotation movements with respect to the Flight Path Vector symbol.

This symbol provides the pilot with flight director yaw orders.
When in RWY mode, during take off, this symbol remains presented
until the A/C reaches the altitude of 30 ft.
When in ROLL OUT mode this symbol appears, when in descent the A/C
reaches 30 ft. just before landing.

(14) Tailstrike indication (Ref. Fig. 025) The tailstrike indication is an amber "V", it is submitted to the roll angle, it is positioned on the pitch scale according to the following principle: the tailstrike angle is reached when the lower tip of the "V" contacts to the aircraft reference.

In case of excessive attitude:
-pitch angle more than +25 degrees or less than -13 degrees or
-absolute value of roll angle more than 45 degrees The display of several zones is cleared from the PFD for better legibility: FMA, guidance symbols (FD or FPD). The affected information is back on display when the pitch angle and roll angle become "normal" again:
-pitch angle less than 22 degrees or more than -10 degrees
-absolute value of roll angle less than 40 degrees.
