 The table below gives the conditions of display of the FMA flags:

 G. ILS Guidance and Vertical Deviation When the pilot presses the LS pushbutton switch located on his EFIS control section, the Glide Slope and Localizer scales come into view on his PFD (as well as the ILS CRS symbol on the HDG scale).

 (a) In case of an ILS approach: If the LOC or G/S signals are not valid or if the function ILS is selected but not active, a ILS red flag is displayed provided the LS pushbutton switch is pressed on EFIS control panel.It flashes 9s then is steady. If there is a discrepancy in the selected approach mode, a LS red flag is displayed provided LS pushbutton switch is pressed on EFIS control panel. It flashes 9s then is steady. The LS flag has priority on the ILS one.

 In case of an MLS approach: If the LOC or G/S signals are not valid or if the function MLS is selected but not active, a MLS red flag is displayed provided the LS pushbutton switch is pressed on EFIS control panel.It flashes 9s then is steady. If there is a discrepancy in the selected approach mode, a LS red flag is displayed provided LS pushbutton switch is pressed on EFIS control panel. It flashes 9s then is steady. The LS flag has priority on the MLS one.
