In case of discrepancy between the pitch or roll attitude information presented on the CAPT and F/O PFDs, a CHECK ATT amber message flashes for 9 s on both PFDs, then remains steady. In this case, it is up to the pilots to remove ambiguity by cross checking the PFD attitude displays with the standby horizon indicator display, in order to detect the ADIRU (IRS) source which is drifting away, then to make the appropriate transfer switching by means of the ATT/HDG selector switch.

 (17) W/S AHEAD Message (Ref. Fig. 030) In approach or in take-off phase, a red W/S AHEAD message is displayed when a predictive windshear alert of level 3 is computed by the W/S system and provided that W/S AUTO/OFF P/B SW of the WXR control panel is set to AUTO. This message is amber if the alert is of level 2.

In approach or in take-off phase, when the altitude is comprised between 50 and 1300 ft, a red WINDSHEAR message is displayed for at least 15s on the PFDs if a reactive windshear condition is detected by the FAC. In case of windshear detection the pilot must follow a safe trajectory using the TAKEOFF or GO AROUND mode.
