F. Aileron Transfer Mechanism Installation
SUBTASK 27-11-61-420-001
(1) Install the aileron transfer mechanism assembly [13]:
(a) Make sure the control column and the aileron transfer mechanism assembly [13] are
engaged at their paddle and fork.
(b) Put the ends of the cable ACBA [1] and cable ACBB [3] through the openings while you put
the aileron transfer mechanism assembly [13] in its position.
(c) Make sure the radius fillers [12] are bonded to the aileron transfer mechanism.

(d) Install the bracket [11] with bolts [8], washers [9] and nuts [10].
1) Make sure the FWD mark on the bracket [11] points forward.
(e) Install the bolts [22], washers [23], and nuts [24] that attach the aileron transfer mechanism
assembly [13] to the airplane structure.
(f) Install the nuts [16], washers [15] and screws [14] to attach the wiring harness [27] to the
bracket on the aileron transfer mechanism assembly [13].
(g) Install the clamp [26] and screw [25] on the wiring harness [27] to the aileron transfer
mechanism assembly [13].
(h) Connect the electrical connector [29] to the aileron transmitter.
(i) Install the screw [17] and clamp [18] to connect the rudder pedal adjustment crank to the
aileron transfer mechanism assembly [13].

(2) Install the cable guide [7] to the aileron transfer mechanism assembly [13]:
(a) Put the cable guide [7] in position.
(b) Install the bolts [19], washers [20], and nuts [21] on the cable guide [7].

(3) Connect the cable ACBA [1] and cable ACBB [3] to the cable turnbuckles [2].
(a) Remove the identification tags from the disconnected cables.
(b) Connect the cable ACBA [1] and cable ACBB [3] to the cable turnbuckles [2].
(c) Tighten the cable turnbuckles [2] to remove slack but keep the cable tension at zero.

(4) Connect the cable AA [5] and cable AB [6] to the cable turnbuckles [17].
(a) Remove the identification tags from the disconnected cables.
(b) Connect the cable AA [5] and cable AB [6] to the cable turnbuckles [4].
(c) Tighten the cable turnbuckles [4] to remove slack but keep the cables tension at zero.

(5) Remove the rig pins A/S-1 and A/S-1A, from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585, from the aileron transfer
mechanism assembly [13].

(6) Remove the rig pins A/S-3, from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585, from the right shaft of the aileron
control quadrant.

(7) Remove the rig pins A/S-4, from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585, from the aileron bus drums.

(8) Adjust the cable ACBA and cable ACBB, do this task: Aileron Cables Adjustment,
