authority limiter.
I. Put the Airplane Back to its Usual Condition

(1) Put the RUDDER TRAVEL DIRECTION switch, on the test box, SPL-1805, in the OFF position.
NOTE: The green indicator light should go off. The rudder might move slowly to the right or left
as much as 3 degrees.

(2) Put the YAW DAMPER POWER switch, on the test box, SPL-1805, to the OFF position.
NOTE: The red indicator light should go off.

(3) Put the YAW DAMPER switch, on the P5 panel, in the OFF position.

(4) Set the mode select IRS switches to the OFF position.

(5) Set the flap control lever to 25 units.

(6) Put the arm switch for the ALTERNATE FLAPS, on the P5 panel, in the OFF position.

(7) Put the LANDING GEAR handle, on the P2 panel, in the DN position.

(8) Set the flap control lever to UP.
NOTE: Wait for the flaps to move.

(9) Do this task: Hydraulic System A or B Power Removal, TASK 29-11-00-860-805.

(10) Remove the test box, SPL-1805 from the rudder PCU.
(a) Open these circuit breakers and install safety tags:

(b) Verify that all the toggle switches on the test box are in the OFF position.
(c) Disconnect the J1 connector of the test box from the D291 connector.
(d) Disconnect the P1 connector of the test box from the rudder PCU.
(e) Connect the D291 connector to the rudder PCU.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
SURFACES. THE AILERONS, RUDDER, ELEVATOR, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS,
LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE
INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(12) Pressurize the hydraulic systems A and B with the electric motor-driven pump. To pressurize
them, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B Pressurization, TASK 29-11-00-860-801.

(13) Do the stall management yaw damper (SMYD) servo test/sweep test for SMYD1 to ensure that
the rudder PCU yaw damper is operational. To perform this test, do this task: Stall Management
Yaw Damper (SMYD) BITE Test - Ground Test, TASK 27-32-00-740-803.

(14) Do this task: Hydraulic System A or B Power Removal, TASK 29-11-00-860-805.

(15) Put the FLT CONTROL A and B switches, on the P5 panel, to the OFF position.
