SUBTASK 27-21-95-420-001
(1) Install the rudder hydraulic fuse [7]:
(a) Put the rudder hydraulic fuse [7] in its position.
NOTE: The flow direction arrow on the rudder hydraulic fuse must agree with the arrow
on the airplane.
(b) Connect the hydraulic lines [5] and [6] to the rudder hydraulic fuse [7].
SUBTASK 27-21-95-860-008
(2) Install clamps [4] and [11] using bolts [1] and [8], washers [2] and [9], nuts [3] and [10].
SUBTASK 27-21-95-860-005
(3) Do the test on the rudder hydraulic fuse:
WARNING: KEEP PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT CLEAR OF THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES,
THE THRUST REVERSERS, AND THE LANDING GEAR. THESE COMPONENTS
CAN MOVE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN
CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSON AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Pressurize the rudder hydraulic system B. To pressurize it, do this task: Rudder Hydraulic
System A, B, or Standby Pressurization, TASK 27-21-00-800-801.
(b) Move the rudder pedals through their full travel three times.
(c) Make sure the rudder moves correctly.
SUBTASK 27-21-95-210-001
(4) Visually examine the rudder hydraulic fuse for hydraulic leaks.

ELEVATOR AND TAB CONTROL SYSTEM - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) Elevator Hydraulic System A and B Pressurization
(2) Put the Elevator Hydraulic Systems A and B Back to the Condition before the Pressurization
(3) Remove Pressure from the Elevator Hydraulic Systems A and B
(4) Put the Elevator Hydraulic Systems A and B Back to the Condition before the Pressure Removal
(5) Null Procedure - Mach Trim Actuator.
(6) Visual Inspection of the Elevator Control Pushrod.
(7) Visual Inspection of the Elevator Feel and Centering Unit.
(8) Detailed Visual Inspection of the Elevator Tab and Tab Mechanism.
B. Hydraulic systems A, B must have pressure removed before maintenance is done on the elevator
control system. This is to prevent injury to persons because of accidental operation of the control
system while you do maintenance. You must be careful to put maintenance stands and equipment
away from control surface travel.
C. Electric pump 1 pressurizes the hydraulic system B and electric pump 2 pressurizes the hydraulic
system A. Electric pump 1 heat exchanger is installed in the fuel tank 2. Electric pump 2 heat
exchanger is installed in the fuel tank 1.
D. This procedure operates the electric hydraulic system A or B pumps to pressurize the hydraulic
systems A and B. Pressurization of the hydraulic systems with the engine-driven hydraulic pumps is
not included in this procedure.
