WARNING: DO THE STEPS BELOW IF THE AIRPLANE OPERATES AT AIRPORTS WHERE
DEICING FLUID THAT CONTAIN POTASSIUM FORMATE IS USED. ALSO DO THE
STEPS FOR ALL AIRPLANES THAT YOU FOUND CORROSION IN THE
ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS IN THE MAIN WHEEL WELL. THE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTOR IS PART OF A SYSTEM THAT IS NECESSARY FOR SAFE FLIGHT.
(e) If there was corrosion, refer to (SWPM 20-60-03) to correct the problem.
(f) Apply the D5026NS or ZC-026 compound, G50171 to the connector (SWPM 20-60-03).
(g) Connect the electrical connector to the flight controls shutoff valve at the flight controls
hydraulic modules A and B.
(h) Connect the electrical connector to the flight controls shutoff valve at the standby flight
controls hydraulic module.

(2) Set the FLT CONTROL A and B switches on the forward overhead panel to the ON position.

RUDDER AND RUDDER TRIM CONTROL SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) Rudder Forward Quadrant Adjustment - Use this task to adjust the rudder forward quadrant.
(2) Rudder Pedals Adjustment - Use this task to adjust the rudder pedals.
(3) Rudder Control Cables RA and RB Adjustment - Use this task to adjust the rudder control cables.
This task also includes steps to adjust the rudder forward quadrant and rudder pedals.
(4) Control Rod for Main Rudder Power Control Unit Adjustment - Use this task to adjust the control
rod for the main rudder power control unit.
(5) Control Rod for Standby Rudder Power Control Unit Adjustment - Use this test to adjust the
control rod for the standby rudder power control unit.
(6) Rudder Pedal Adjustment and Limit Travel Test - Use this test make sure the rudder pedals can
move through their full travel and the pedal adjustment crank operates correctly.
(7) Rudder Hinge Bearing and PCU Freeplay - Use this task to do a check of the freeplay of the
rudder control system.
(8) Rudder Centering Test - Use this test to make sure the rudder is in its center position.
(9) Rudder Pedal Forces Test - Use this test to make sure the rudder pedals operate with the correct
force.
(10) Rudder Travel Test - Use this test to make sure the rudder operates correctly.
(11) Standby Rudder Power Control Unit Deadband Test - Use this test to make sure the standby
rudder power control unit is in the correct rigged position.
(12) Rudder Trim System Test - Use this test to make sure the rudder system operates correctly.
(13) Wheel to Rudder Interconnect System Test - Use this test to make sure the wheel to rudder
function of the standby rudder power control unit operates correctly.
(14) Authority Limiter Test - Use this task to do a check of the rudder authority device which reduces
the authority at the airspeeds where full authority is not required.
(15) Main Rudder PCU Internal Hydraulic Leakage Test - Use this task to do a check for excessive
internal hydraulic leakage in the main rudder PCU (This task also include the "Authority Limiter
Test").
(16) Rudder Hinge Friction Test - Use this task to do a check of the rudder hinge for excessive friction.

2. Rudder Forward Quadrant Adjustment
(Figure 501, Figure 502)
A. General
(1) Use this test to make sure the rudder forward quadrant is adjusted correctly. After you adjust the
rudder forward quadrant, you must re-adjust the rudder pedals and control cables.
