7. Elevator Control Pushrods - Adjustment
(Figure 502, Figure 503, Figure 504, Figure 505, Figure 523)
A. General
(1) Use this test to adjust the elevator control pushrods which connect the output torque tube to the
elevators.
NOTE: For each elevator tab, if both pushrods are adjusted, then Elevator Power-Off Flight -
Test, TASK 27-31-00-710-803 Elevator Power-Off Flight - Test, TASK 27-31-00-710-803
is necessary. If only one pushrod is adjusted and you can verify that the remaining
rod has not been replaced or adjusted since the last flight test, then this flight test is
not necessary. If only one pushrod is adjusted and you cannot verify that the
remaining pushrod has not been replaced or adjusted since the last flight test, then
the Elevator Power-Off Flight - Test, TASK 27-31-00-710-803 Elevator Power-Off
Flight - Test, TASK 27-31-00-710-803 is necessary.

H. Elevator Control Pushrods Adjustment

(1) Push down on the trailing edge of the right elevator, to bottom out the elevator PCU’s in the
extended position.

(2) Make sure the right elevator is in the full down position with the inboard end of the elevator
trailing edge 10.84 +0.09/-0.32 inches (275.3 +2.3/-8.1 mm) below the index mark (Figure 523).
(a) Remove the nut [27], washer [26], nut [25], washers [24], and bolt [23] to disconnect the
